A guard tower above the Wando Genet Forest. Notice the hole in the corner of the concrete slab we are on; there used to be railing around it but someone hiked into the forest and ripped it out, and drug it back down the hill.

Eating dinner by Lantern Light in our home, Alemgena. This was the second straight day of a power outage that covered much of the Bale Region of Ethiopia. We are cooking by kerosene stove now, but hope to get a propane tank soon.
